Sorry for posting to the forums with a picture, but I already posted the cake and didn't want to post two pictures of the same cake in the gallery..

I wanted to post a close up of the flower so I figured this would be okay.

I have found that making gumpaste flowers is my true cake love.. tedious at times, but when it all comes together.. just very fulfilling. icon_biggrin.gif

And critiques would be welcome too. I am always looking to improve. icon_smile.gif

Simply spectacular. Please pm me and tell where or what you use for information on how to make the flower. (DVDs, etc.) Thanks

The pic wasn't showing up for me before either but it's there now.. who knows why.. icon_lol.gif

Thanks everyone.. I used cutters made by Sunflower Sugar Art and just molded them by hand. It's not a hard flower.. just tedious. icon_smile.gif

Defintely.. I had never made a peony before the other day. Do you have the cutters? The magnolia is pretty easy really.. nothing too ruffled or involved. icon_smile.gif

Your flower is just beautiful. I find myself taking my camera with me on vacations so that I can snap pictures of flowers that I especially like. I save flower catalogs also which help in getting the shapes and colors I want. Wonderful job!!!
