Sorry for posting to the forums with a picture, but I already posted the cake and didn't want to post two pictures of the same cake in the gallery..
I wanted to post a close up of the flower so I figured this would be okay.
I have found that making gumpaste flowers is my true cake love.. tedious at times, but when it all comes together.. just very fulfilling.
And critiques would be welcome too. I am always looking to improve.
This is simply stunning, I will be so happy when I reach the point where my flowers actually look real. I need to invest in the right tools, and have some more time on my schedule These are gorgeous and you should be very proud
Simply spectacular. Please pm me and tell where or what you use for information on how to make the flower. (DVDs, etc.) Thanks
Absolutley beautiful. You did a great job. Please Pm me and let me know what cutters or molds that you used.
Stephanie
The pic wasn't showing up for me before either but it's there now.. who knows why..
Thanks everyone.. I used cutters made by Sunflower Sugar Art and just molded them by hand. It's not a hard flower.. just tedious.
I just commented on the cake in your gallery. Your peony is lovely, you did a wonderful job. All your work is beautiful Jeanne.
Oh my goodness that is SO beautiful! Peonies are my absolute favorite flower and yours is stunning!
Had to reload the the page (noticed that on several postings this morn), but I'm glad I did...terrific work! I also really like the sweet peas and it was a really well taken picture, ok really, I'll stop saying really now.

Defintely.. I had never made a peony before the other day. Do you have the cutters? The magnolia is pretty easy really.. nothing too ruffled or involved.
Your flower is just beautiful. I find myself taking my camera with me on vacations so that I can snap pictures of flowers that I especially like. I save flower catalogs also which help in getting the shapes and colors I want. Wonderful job!!!
LOL.. I do the same thing lilybird.. I love taking pictures of plants and things like that and I find that when we come back from vacation I have more pictures of random nature shots than my family..
