does anyone know any good whipcream icing recipe that are stable enough to make roses?...i always wonder what recipe that was used for the cake at walmart that are whipcream....also is there any buttercream recipe out there that are not as sweet at the wilton buttercream?

I've never bothered to make roses out of WC, even for WC cakes I use BC roses and decorations. Most icings are sweet. If there isnt any salt in your recipe, add a little bit of popcorn (extra fine) salt, and/or a couple drops of lemon juice helps cut the sweetness a bit. but dont use so much that to flavor it lemon (unless its a lemon cake, yum)!

You might be looking for Rich's Bettercreme. I think that's what they use at Walmart. You can buy it at GFS and some cake supply stores. HTH.
