When covering a cake dummy (styrofoam) with fondant, do I need to put piping gel to glue it to the dummy or can I spray the dummy with a little water.......thanks.

I usually just use my hand and spread on some crisco (or whatever shortening you may use)

Crisco will glue it to the cake dummy? Does it make the fondant adhere to the dummy?

I second that. I just use crisco, it works perfect!

great, thanks........I'll try that. I bet with Crisco, you can also peel it off after a while to re-use the dummy...
