Quick question about extra cake batter...

Can you refrigerate any leftover cake batter? If so, how long does it keep well for?

Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

I had some left over cake batter in the fridge for a couple of days and still baked up fine

Really?! Did you let the batter come to room temperature first or did you just bake it right out of the fridge? Reason being I have a cake recipe that I just can't minimize so for what I have to do I will have a lot of cake batter remaining and I didn't want it to go to waste.

Thanks for your help! icon_biggrin.gif

Did you fridge scratch or a mix? Wondering if it makes any difference.
