Hi there

I have to start making my sons birthday cake and he chose the Spongebob

design from here in the cake galleries.

I have to make the characters as stand up decorations round the cake, but I want to know if anyone here could help me with a recipe for/ or advice on how to mix mmf and gumpaste to make a nice, hard but still edible hand molded character.

I plam on making MMF and just mixing up the Wilton Gumpaste powder by the instructions and combining the two...
Please stop me if this is wrong LoL!
I have to start making the characters tonight so any help as soon as possible will be HUGHLY appreciated!!

Yes, Mixing fondant and gumpaste 50/50 will make a good modeling medium.

Sounds cute! We'll want to see the finished cake you know! icon_biggrin.gif

I would suggest making the mmf and just mixing it with Wilton Gumpaste (prepackaged already made) Just knead the two together. Thats what I do.
