Attach Ribbon To Buttercream Iced Wedding Cake?

What is best way to attach ribbon to wedding cake? Thanks in advance for any help.....

When ever I have attached ribbon to a cake, I just wrap it wround the cake and use double sided tape to secure it in the back. I havent had a problem with it yet. It is really simple! Good luck!

I just use a blop of icing to glue the two ends together in the back.

You might want to put something between the ribbon and the buttercream. Sometimes a ribbon will obsorb grease from the buttercream and it can change the color. When I have attached a ribbon to a cake, I stick clear contact paper to the back of the ribbon first. I agree with previous posts. A dab of buttercream where the ends meet should do the trick.
