I'm making a chocolate shower cake with cookies and cream filling. I want a recipe that doesn't require refrigeration and won't soak into the cake. Can I just use vanilla bettercream with oreos? Anyone have a good recipe? Thx!

My suggestion was going to be to just add some oreos to your buttercream. Sounds like you've already got a pretty good idea. I've not used bettercream, but I bet it would work great!

I just crush up oreos and mix with my regular vanilla buttercream. I definitely find it tastes better the next day once the oreos have softened and the buttercream has taken on some of their flavor.
