I am currently working on a cake for the sheriff's election that is taking place tonight. I was asked to make a Sheriff badge cake to present to the candidate when/ if he wins. I decided to make a small 8" cake for presentation with a tiered (less ornate) cake for serving guests. I felt like they could still eat the cake this way, even if he does not win the election. I am not happy, though, with how the tiered cake looks. I feel like it looks so sloppy, or that maybe it needs something else. What are your thoughts, fellow cake buddies?

Maybe some of the same stars attached to a wire and coming out of the top. But I think it looks good as is...
