Okay I am so excited to go? I can't sleep. My husband and I, and friends can't wait to visit LAS VEGAS? We will be arriving Thursday night around 9ish.

Looking forward to classes, meeting the cc comunity, watching the shows and not worrying about housework, kids, laundry etc.

We are flying from JFK arriving around 8 p.m. and arriving Thursday night I am packing right now and ready to roll the dice!

My first class starts 7:00 a.m.

I am excited too....and a bit nervous. Anyone else? I signed up for 4 classes, and the only one that makes me nervous is the "How to make a crooked cake" with Colette Peters. I'm not sure why, but I am.

I am SO EXCITED!!! I fly in Thursday morning! I am going solo...DH wanted to come but I told him to BACK OFF...ahhhhhh...3 nights and 4 days with NO KIDS, DOGS or HOUSEWORK!!! I scheduled classes all day every day, and will go to the banquet, but I also plan to SIT ON MY BUTT the other evenings!!!

My DH honestly couldn't understand why I wanted to go ALONE, without even a friend. I was like, "are you kidding? I need QUIET!!!"

I can't wait to go - although I am so nervous about it...but then again, I was nervous about all my Wilton classes too and they were awesome. I just don't want to look like adork in a room full of pros...oh well!

Who is going to the banquet? I keep going back and forth...

Don't worry about being nervous. It is sooo relaxed and friendly. I felt the same way at the first one I went to, but now I have made a lot of friends and they all make you feel so at ease.

We are wearing mardi gras beads. If you can't get them before you leave you may be able to get them at either the Rio or the Orleans casinos. (At least the last time I checked). the Rio is a little harder to get because they throw them into the crowd at the masquerade in the sky show; the Orleans you can ask a cashier.

I am leaving tomorrow morning and driving up. It's about a 3-4 hour drive for me depending on Cal-trans projects.

But I can't wait till tomorrow--So everyone have a safe trip and can't wait to meet you all!!

Just saw this on the camp camp website, is anybody else planning to dress "to the hilt"? I love any excuse to be dressed up, but don't want to be out of place either. Do you think they're talking evening gowns & such???


"New Dress for the Banquet should be "Las Vegas glamourous". Drag out those fancy outfits that no one wears anywhere anymore and dress to the hilt. The dinner will be served so we won't have a lot of running around."

This will be my first cake camp and I am SOOOO excited!! I will be taking my DH and if you will dress up I will too. I LOVE VEGAS. I am coming up on friday morning and have classes friday and saturday. I am looking forward to the exhibitor hall to see if they have cool new tools I can buy.

I wish I was going... But next year the ICES is coming to Chicago... I'll be there.... I'm making plans to attend in 2010.
