Hi i am new here and was just wondering if anyone makes MMF in their kitchenaid mixer and how they go about doing that. i would think it would be a lot cleaner than doing it by hand
thanks

I've only made it in my Kitchenaid!
I put some powdered sugar in the bottom and make a well in it. I pour the melted marshmallows, shortening and water mixture into the powdered sugar and mix it with my dough hook. I know some folks use the paddle first, then change to the dough hook, but I've never done that.

I just keep adding powdered sugar until I have a nice soft dough. You don't want to beat in too much sugar. I take it out and knead it a bit (it shouldn't stick to your hands), then rub it with shortening and wrap it tightly in Saran.

HTH

OOOOHHHH I'm so excited now. I just got a kitchen aid and wasn't sure if I could make mmf in there or not. I made it by hand with a wooden spoon and I was so wore out by the end!!!!
