Hi Everyone,

I have the task of making a cake for someone who will be taking it on a trip to the Virgin Islands. I am not sure what types of cakes travel well. I am not too concerned with frosting---no buttercream. But I am looking for some type of decadent show stopping chocolate cake that can be on a 24 hour plane flight?

Suggestions, packaging too!

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I thought I'd give this a bump!

most countries prohibit the importation of food unless it is in original manufacturer's packing, still sealed. even then some things aren't allowed. if this is a homebaked cake, odds are it can be confiscated at customs upon arrival.
