can some one please tell me how to make some sort of glue to stick sparkling suger to the sides of a cake with fondant... I don't want to mix up another batch of icing. And it is on the bodice of my 3d dress cake and I was hoping to not use more icing as it will be bulky.

Any sugestions?

Thanks
Janice

Water alone might work, but if you want something stickier take some of the fondant and mush it up in some water until you get it to a consistency that's spreadable and kind of white like watered-down elmer's glue. If you brush it on the fondant it will be sticky and you can put the glitter on it.

I do what costumeczar does, except I put the fondant with a bit of water in the microwave until warmed and stir it up. It makes a great glue!
