Granite Or Marble?

Okay so I'm watching a food network challenge and i am noticing they are all rolling their fondant on what looks like a granite counter? Although when I try to roll my fondant on my countertop which is granite it stick so I always put ps so i make a mess.

Does anyone know if its granite?

I like to roll my fondant on a silicone mat, i just grease lightly with crisco

I use a large silpat mat to roll fondant and granite for chocolate. (Granite is cheaper than marble.)

I roll mine out on granite. I just put a light coat of Crisco on first instead of the p sugar.

my granite also sticks, so I use a silicone mat.
