I want to make a sculpted Model T cake for my dad's birthday next month, does anyone have any idea how to do this? I'm just beginning to search for ideas/pics so if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it! icon_smile.gif

an image to help

http://carblueprints.narod.ru/images/ford/ford-model-t-1923.gif

then using that image

a diagram to help -- based on concept that top of car is solid cake and windows/open areas are painted out white -- much easier than trying to make a gumpaste open top!

(based on a 9x13 -- scale up if need more servings)

details in fondant/gumpaste

also attached the support diagram -- I'd use option on left - dowels hidden behind wheels for this one.
