How long before can I bake a cake for a wedding?
I have to bake 7 cakes for a wedding, but normally I bake a day before.
How long can I bake the cake, I donât want to be awake for 2 days baking and decorating cake.
And how much to charge for DELIVERY?

I generally bake 2 days before and decorate 1 day before.

I charge for delivery based on distance from my home.

I bake on Wednesday, fill and ice/fondant on Thurs. I do think it's really important you test YOUR cake to see how it tastes, is on Saturday and on Sunday for leftovers. My customers RAVE about my cakes, outside and in. So, Wednesday is not to early for me icon_smile.gif

You can always bake, then freeze them. I usually do this if I have a lot of cakes. Make icing ahead of time, too, that way you're not trying to do too much in just a couple of days.

For those of you who have experience baking/decorating cakes two or three days in advance, can you tell me what is the best way to store the cake? Is a cardboard cake box sufficient to keep the cake fresh in the refrigerator and if so for how many days?
