Hi I have a customer contact me about a "rummy" and she had VERY SPECIFIC ideas on how she wants the cards laid out etc.

I have no edible printer but I have about a month before the thing is due. I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how I can make them?

Thanks!

I'd use gumpaste so that I could roll the cards out thinner, but fondant would work. Just roll it out, cut the cards to the size that you want with a pizza roller, then let them dry. Once they're dry you can draw the suits on with a food coloring marker.

Hey:
I used mmf w/ some Tylose kneaded in it; rolled out very thin and cut out w/ a playing card template. Then I drew on them w/ food color markers. Here's a pic of a Vegas/wedding shower cake I did. I just made them very simple.

Since you don't have your own printer, another option you have is to find some card images and take to a bakery that prints edible images (or upload to icingimages.com ) - makes a nice effect and not much work!
