I am looking for a recipe for a good strong lemon flavored cake - one that is moist and lemony. I would prefer something easy that I could make cupcakes with. Anyone have a favorite?

how about the lemon WASC? you can just add more lemon peel or juice to get the degree of flavor you want. according to the one posted on recipezaar.....

For lemon cake: substitute lemon juice for about 1 cup of the water in the recipe, use 6 whole eggs instead of the whites, stir in 1 Tblsp lemon zest, and use 1 tsp of a good lemon extract in place of the almond.

this sounds like a yummy cake. i've only done the plain WASC and boy was it yummy! let me know if you make it. i wanna know how good the lemon version is.

Here is a nice sweet lemon cake recipe (not tart and not from scratch) and the poppyseeds are optional.

1 box lemon cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 large box instant lemon pudding
1/4 cup poppyseeds
2 Tablespoons lemon juice

What is the lemon WASC recipe? I can't find it - or a regular one for that matter icon_smile.gif
