Smbc Question

Is it ok to put fondant accents on the sides of my cake iced with SMBC? Just don't want them to fade onto the icing or slide off!

I have three Wedding cakes in my cooler right now, all have fondant of some sort ( ribbon, flower bow etc..) on top of SMBC.
