I am considering using the bulk cake mixes from Dawn foods.I have been using Betty Crocker mixes for years now but they are very expensive at $2.79 a box...which I don't pay that since I buy them when they go one sale ...3/$3.99....However, lately they have been less on sale and for more money !!! So.......I am thinking of buying bulk mixes...Can anyone tell me how the mixes taste and if they are worth buying in bulk!!!

TIA

Laurel

We tried them at a bakery I used to work at. The vanilla was ok, but customers mentioned multiple times it tasted like grocery store cake, making them not want to spend more than a grocery store and everyone asked why we changed the recipe so we ended up not using them. The chocolate mix was awful. Even giving away samples no one would eat them! Both cakes we made with them were complained about and refunded.
