Hi

I need help. I am making a 3d care bear cake for my niece. THe pan did not have instructions. I called wilton they said it needs 6 1/2 cups of firm cake mix. I used one cake mix... does it make 6 1/2 cups of batter....

Cake mix batter yields vary by brand and flavor. (Usually one undoctored cake mix yields 4 to 5 1/2 cups of batter.)

The only way to positively know if you have 6-1/2 cups of batter is to either measure or weigh the batter.

Using the WASC cake recipe and 1 DH white cake mix will yield a tad over 7 cups of batter (but this isn't a really firm cake):

Might be easier to just make two pound cake mixes (and measure).
