that you get air bubbles in buttercream after you have iced the cake? I did a cake this weekend and I had a few airbubbles forming in the icing. It was like the bubble was between the cake and the BC. Any ideas on what I did wrong? Thanks
PS The cake ended up sitting in the truck for about 1 1/2 hrs due to me not being able to get in the building were I delivered it, but it wasnt hot or really humid.I have never had this happen before.
Did you ice it right out of the freezer? Sometimes condensation can form on the cake and when you ice it, it forms bubbles under the frosting from the condensation. Happens to me when I ice a cake frozen.
I've had this happen, with a non frozen cake. It is basicly your cake settling and the air trying to get out. You can fill and crumb coat then let it sit a while before icing, giving it a chance to settle.

No it was defrosted already when I iced it.
Are you using homemade bc that you made, store bought or bc you ordered and had shipped? Has this ever happened before? Did you switch the kind you normally use?
