you can use any stencil, take a look at Hobby lobby or michaels, and the quilting section too. there is a striped stencil in the craft section you can use. the only thing with using or moving a stencil on buttercream is you run the risk of the first colour being lifted off when you reposition the stencil, especially if it is left on the surface for several minutes. you do need a good crusting bc or do it on fondant. i airbrush a good 90% of my cakes, and i have a class starting tomorrow if your in my neck of the woods. icon_smile.gif

I made my plaid using a stencil that I got for scrapbooking. You don't have to worry about cutting anything out and it's easy to clean, rinse it under water and it comes right off. Feel free to check out the baby cake in my photos.
