Has anyone made strings of fondant pearls ahead of time (with the beadmakers) and been able to keep them pliable until ready to use on a round cake?

Any suggestions how to do this? I want to make them on Monday and use them on the cake on Saturday.

Thanks.

I have never made a string of pearls with a mold, but I made some individual fondant pearls, rolled them in p e a r l dust, and put them in a Tupperware container right away.

When I checked them a few days later they were still very soft, like I had just made them. Not what I wanted, but this may be the result that you are looking for though.

I am not sure if it was the Tupperware (leaning strongly toward this) or the p e a rl dust, or a combination of both...

Maybe someone else knows for sure. icon_smile.gif
