I just received my sweetex shortening and I want to try SugarShack's icing recipe but I don't think my KA bowl is 5 quarts. Has anyone cut it down to fit into a smaller bowl?

I've done it with my 4.5qt mixer and because I didn't have the hi-ratio shortening, I think it didn't come out as smooth but I used the same recipe but used 4.5 cups shortening and 4.5 cups conf. sugar instead of 5 or 51/2 as she uses. Yours should come out find as long as you follow the recipe from what I hear, Good Luck !!
