Hi all. I'm sure this question has probably been addressed before, but I'm having a problem when I use the search function (I can't open the "found" posts). How does the Wilton buttercream taste when made with the butter flavor Crisco? I don't mind the color because I was making pale yellow icing anyway. Thanks for sharing any advice or experience or recipes. I really appreciate it.

I don't use the wilton recipe, but I have used the butter flavored crisco in my recipe once before when I was out of regular crisco. I find that the taste is the same or very similar to me because I already use butter in my bc. The only thing I didn't like was the color (I needed white bc the time I used it). However, since you need pale yellows anyway, it should be fine. HTH

I really didn't like it--but good luck with it anyway.
