Im exstremely new at this whole cake world. I just over the weekend had my first attempt at a wedding cake. I tried a little of the gold pearl dusting over the cake..i loved the shine it made,..is there a easier tecnique of using this over the icing,..i seen it is used on flowers and decor and such but i truely loved how it gave a golden shine to the finished cake. I am planning on trying another cake this weekend. in gold and pinks and would like to use this again. But id like to get it more even spread. Help! icon_sad.gif

I use a small paintbrush, and it usually turns out pretty even.

I have Wilton's dusts and they are YUCK!!! They don't do anything....I purchased some higher quality dusts off the internet and they are totally different. They are very fine and really offer the 'pearly' look. They remind me of my mineral makeup! There are tons of websites on the internet offering pearl/luster dusts.
