I have been using the SPS system for many years but recently have done some with the center column and the big question....is it just me or are they total pieces of garbage? They seem so wobbly that I cringe everytime I leave a facility with a cake on them.
This is the latest one, I even put aluminum foil covered by 2 layers of gumpaste around the centers.
I used the Crystal Splendor set. is there anything better?

It seems like they are sold in so many places that they must be popular but I don't know why. I thought that you, Edna, would know more about them. Maybe indydebi knows.
Well...I stay away from them cause they are not stable...I wanna know if there os something mpre stable.

I've used the Wilton Tall Tier with a center column and that thing is wonky. I've only used the Crystal Splendor as a floating tiers setup. Any center column I've had experience with is unstable.
Well that is good and bad to learn. I was hoping for the best but it doesn't sound good.
I even tried hot gluing one of the sets together to use as an elevation for satellites and I hated that. I'm glad I asked about these separators and now realize that it is NOT ME, it is the stupid idea of a center column.
Thanks Edna and Leah for the input.
I think thats why the famous people in the business
create their own center stacked colums in acrilic..The ones you buy already made are no good!
