I just found a site that sells sugar-free marshmallows...........I wonder if there is a way to make fondant that is sugar free?? oh wait, what would you sub for the powdered sugar?? hmmmmmmmmm.........I wonder if you could make regular homemade fondant sugar free?? Anyone know?? I have some diabetics that I'm dying to make cookies and such for and can't EVER find a frosting I can use besides coloring egg yolks..yuck!
Here is a recipe for making icing sugar subsitute from Splenda
⢠3/4 cup SPLENDA® Granular
⢠2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
Place ingredients in blender jar. Cover and blend until SPLENDA® Granular is a very fine powder.
Use instead of powdered sugar for garnishing cakes and pastries.
Im not sure if it would work for fondant, but the website says you can use it as a subsitute for regular butter cream
