I have noticed that some people are using a computer based program to draw out their cake design ideas to clients. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what program you are using for this as my drawing skills are pitifull and I would like to be able to communicate my ideas better.
Thanks.

I have the wedding cake design pro program, and sometimes its helpful, but it's kind of limited in what you can do and it takes a while to get the cakes right. If you have windows, you can use the drawing program on it (paint) in the accessories section of the menu, to do some basic cake shapes, then you can print them out to have blank templates to use. I still find that it's faster and easier to use a pen and paper, but if you're just having trouble with the basic cake shapes the blanks are a good way to go.

Go into Galleries and look under "Sketches & Patterns & Templates"

There are all sorts of shapes etc.
I just print out the ones that I need, when I need it.

Thanks for the idea. I don't know why I have never thought of the gallery!
