I have to make a cake this weekend for a little girl and she wants a standing Hot Air Balloon!! I was thinking of doing the basket part cake and the top of the balloon cake and then making the bottom half of the balloon a rice krispy treat so it will be hard enough to stand up.... Does anyone think this will work or have any better ideas????

You can actually do the whole top part in cake (ball cake pan) and the basket part in cake too if you want to. I can PM you instructions if you PM me your email address.
