I am doing a bustier cake for a birthday party. They have requested dark purple with black, but do not want lavender. I have read lots of posts for making Barney purple, but is there any way I can come up with a royal purple buttercream? Hot pink will do, but I really like to provide people with what they want.

Thanking you in advance ...

Martha

Americolor sells an Electric purple & a burgundy, I am going to try to mix the two to get a royal purple.

I bought electric purple thinking it was going to be purple but it turned out more like magenta. I "purpled" it up with violet. hth

I just went and found "Regal Purple" by Americolor, I think this is more the color you are looking for. FOr a really dark purple it takes quite a bit though, I would get two of them.
