just made my regular scratch carrot cake in a 12 X18" BIG BIG OVERDONE heavy flopporootie icon_sad.gif

any one have any advice or preferences for a good recipe that translates that large?? I am out of $$ and time and oh oh sooo sad!

Did you use a heating core or flower nail in the center, to help the middle bake through?

What temp did you bake it at? It helps to bake at a lower temp, about 325 degrees?

I would do the flower nail, but maybe two. Also maybe try lowering your oven temp by 25 degrees if it needs to bake longer to cook through all the way.

thanks everyone _ i used 3 nails and lowered the temp- not a good night- maybe tommarow will be better.

It was like that at class yesterday, also. Things just didn't quite go right the first time, but they were fine on the second try.
