What Mat Do You Use For Small Fondant Work?

I have the big blue Ateco one, that is great for covering cakes, but what do you recommned for small items like fondant cutouts, flowers, etc. Sometimes you just need a smaller worksurface! icon_smile.gif

Thanks so much Diane! Are Silpats smooth? They always looked textured to me, so I've never ordered them!

Yes, they are smooth. The criss-cross pattern you see is sandwiched between two smooth layers of silicone. I do all my kneading and rolling on the silpat, but then transfer the fondant to a piece of wax paper for cutting and/or dusting. That size also fits perfectly in the microwave for melting hard candy or isomalt or for softening up your fondant.
