I need to color some fondant. Is there any particular type of color I should use?? Or can I just use the same gel colors I normally use to color icing(normally wilton or americolor)?? Thanks!

You can use gel colours or you can mix white fondant with a lump of already coloured fondant and mix them together.

I have always used Wilton. It works great. I havent used Americolor yet. But, I hear that it is wonderful. I wouldnt use liquid. Not that you would, but it might make your fondant a little sticky. I like the gel. Have fun!! icon_biggrin.gif

use the Americolor- you will be so happy you did. The wilton pots are a pain to work with. Americolor you can add dropwise. This is helpful too if you need to make more of the same color fondant - just remember how many drops you used! Americolor also has a lot more color shades than wilton.
