So, I was making cupcakes for Easter yesterday. I wanted to do something simple but cute, but just did simple cupcakes with buttercream icing and topped them with candy eggs that matched the cupcake liners. They're cute, and I'm sure my family will enjoy them today. But... I was thining... I should have done white cupcakes with white buttercream and then filled the cupcakes with yellow filling, so when you bite into them they look like real eggs... hmmm, maybe next year! I hate when ideas come to be after I need them! It would be unexpected to find a "yolk" inside... just an idea!

Would be cute to use the egg molds, fill them with lemon filling and then decorate them like Easter eggs.

Happy Easter to everyone! icon_biggrin.gif

Hind sight and all. The cupcakes you made sound cute and I'm sure everyone enjoyed them. I like your idea of making eggs. Ice them flat with a piped crack on top of it. See how manypeople recognize them as eggs. The egg pan idea would be cute also. Maybe use a melon baller to scoop a the centre of two eggs fill the scooped out part with yellow whatever then stick them together and ice them white to look like eggs. Hmmm . . .
