Hi all........I am wanting to attempt my first FBCT and am wondering what happens when you take it out of the freezer and it defrosts??? Does the cake have to be kept cold at all times??? Also, how are you getting the transfer to stay on the cake....is it mounted with BC underneath??? Just beginning to think and wondering how it is done!!! Thanks!!!

When you take it out of the freezer, you should immediately put it on your cake and peel off the paper. When it thaws, it will just be a layer of buttercream in the image you created, soft just like the base buttercream on your cake.

I would ice the cake first then apply your FBCT. THen you can either border it or not, depending on the design and how you want it to look.
