How Many Boxes Of Cake Mix......

do I need for an 11 x 15 cake pan? I would like for it to rise at least over the top. This is Devil's Food by the way......... I would appreciate any help!!!

I use four, but I hate to overcook them, so I cook two and then two separately, Then I level them out and put filling. However, if I don't use filling, then I use all four at the same time.

I would use 3 you will have a little more than you need but it will take more than 2.

I always use 3 boxes for an 11x15, 4 boxes for a 12x18

I use 2 for the 11x15; 3 for the 12x18; 4 for the 14x22. All of mine rise higher than the pan, with the exception of the 11x15, which is a "most of the time...." deal. But I dont' make many that size.

Typically, I use 2 1/2 box mixes for the 11x15 pan. Remember though that chocolate mixes - including devil's food, tend to rise a little more than white or yellow.
