I just tried something new . I put filling in one of my half sheet cakes. Half raspberry and the other half lemon. I used a wooden spoon handle and poked holes all in the cake. About 1-1 1/2 inches apart. I put my filling in a bag a filled each hole with the filling. It was a white cake. It turned out really good. I am not sure if others have tried this. I remembered My mother making a pudding cake when I was young and this was how she got the pudding to be vertically throughout the cake. Just thought I would pass this along.
