I've never attempted to make my own RI. But I'd love to try Antonia's.

I just have no idea where to get meringue powder and cream of tartar. Is this something I can find at my local groceries store? Would Michaels carry this stuff? What aisle can I usually find this in?

Thanks for any advice. This will keep me from wandering from store to store.

Michaels will have it and so will Wal-Mart! The meringue powder is usually found in the cake deco. aisle although some grocery stores have it in the baking aisle......adn the cream of tartar is always found in the spice aisle! I don't think Michael's has cream of tartar

Thanks so much I found everything.

I guess I was expecting "Cream of Tartar" to be liquid. But I found it. I'm off to make some sugar cookies!
