What a disaster! Let me just list all of the problems witht his stupid Halloween cake.

1) used the wrong size pan for the layers. Used an 9" and an 8" instead of 9 and 6. Had to cut the top layer into a 6. This caused super crummy sides and a slight indent at the bottom.

2) used canned frosting and when I opened it, noticed that it had chocolate chips in the frosting. went ahead and used it which was probably my biggest mistake. Talk about a lumpy bumpy crum coat.

3) thought if I nuked the remaining frosting and melted the choc chips, I could get a more smooth icing. WRONG. Nuking the icing made a big fudgy gloopy mess. which I stupidly used anyway.

4) frosting is running down the cake.

AAAAHHHHHHH

that sucks! I have been "surprised" by that frosting before! Luckly it was just a cake for the family, otherwise I would have been really mad! Good luck w/ the rest of it! icon_wink.gif
