Bought the pan-- but came with no instructions. No biggie really, except I was wondering if I should use a pound cake recipe instead. Seems like I remember they suggesting that for a deeper pan. I did print out the instructions for this pan, but it didn't mention that.

Thanks!

Melissa,
Cool name by the way! I think mine said to reduce the oil in the cake mix to a TBS.

Yup, you want a denser cake since one layer will be on top the other - and you don't want it to smoosh! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the replies. Hey-- what if I use Pillsbury cake mix that has the pudding inside. I have heard of adding pudding, so why wouldn't this work? Yes-- the soccer ball will be sitting on the top of a sheet cake. This is for my Grandson's soccer party. His team is "Sonic Fire" so I'm going to use gumpaste for the flames that will come out from under the soccer ball. A good thought-- we'll see.

Thoughts?
Melissa - yep! cool name!
