Hello everyone!

Does anyone know how to make those fondant beach ball decorations I see in some beach themed cakes? Can someone pleeeeease tell me? I'm making a beach-themed cake for my daughter's birthday this Saturday and I hit a wall trying to make the beach balls. I'm using MMF. Please help! Thanks so much in advance.

I did one last summer for a pool cake. it wasn't the prettiest, but it worked. I just made a ball of white fondant and then cut out & applied the stripes of the other colors. Rolled the ball to make it smooth.

I know one of my favourite cakes is Sugarshack's beach themed one ...I hope I am correct but I think she used large gumballs and covered them in fondant...
Perhaps she will read this and confirm but that is what my senile mind remembers... icon_redface.gif
