I am new to cake decorating . don't mind if the question seemd ridiculous!!

Could i frost the cake with whipped cream....u know not the ready made one but the one you make by whipping cream. If you add flavourings , or liquer or sthg to it, it tastes so much better..and soft and creamy..

Thanks!!

You can frost a cake with whipped cream, but cannot decorate with it. It also must be kept refrigerated.

It would be better if you use a stabilized whipped cream, here's how I do it
1 teaspoons of Knox gelatin
2 tablespoons cold water

2 cups chilled heavy whipping cream
1-2 teaspoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon flavoring

In a small saucepan sprinkle gelatie over cold water allow to boom for 5 minutes
After 5 minutes heat saucepan until gelatine is disolved, let cool.
Beat cream in a well chilled bowl, slowly add flavoring and powdered suger until slightly stiff. Add cooled gelatin and contiue beating until it holds its shape.
Ice cake as usual don't leave out need to be refridgerated.

Hope this helps
