Hi there, I haven't made one of these but I think if you post some more details about what you did (i.e. what "didn't work"?) then maybe others can chime in with alternate options...??

You could also make the fish bowl out of the Wilton ball pans and make a rim around the top with fondant and the bowl with blue-colored fondant for the water and the add your fish, etc. accordingly.
