I've been wondering what would be the best thing to use as a backdrop to take pictures of cakes? What colors would be best to show the true colors of the cakes? Any ideas.

I use one of those craft fold up boards that kids use for their school project displays. If the cake /cookies are small I lay it flat with one side popped up as a backdrop, and if its tall I leave it standing up.

Oh and I use black for white or light colored cakes/cookies and darker colored cakes/cookies go on white. Check out my pictures to see how it looks.
