I'm decorating a cake for my nephew's first birthday with a "cars and trucks" theme. I have three little cars and trucks toppers and one little train topper. I plan to make a dirt road out of crushed graham crackers and a blacktop road with icing, but I'm not sure what to use for the railroad. Any ideas!

I have used chocolate frosting as the dirt b/w the tracks and a star tip to draw the tracks on the cake. Another idea I have seen is using brown sugar for the dirt and rolled fondant cut into strips to make the tracks. Hope this helps! icon_smile.gif

I would use black licorice for the tracks and pretzels for the wooded slats in between the tracks.
This is just a idea that i have never used but thought it might work.
