I think they all look lovely, but I prefer the plain satin ribbon over the more ornate/lacey ribbon. Would you use that kind of ribbon on a real cake for a client?

Your work is lovely - very dainty and elegant.
My only suggestion is that the cakes be placed on a cake board or stand of some description.
I know they're dummies, but the potential client doesn't need to!
Good luck with the portfolio - you've made a great start!

I like them all, they are very nice, but my favorite is the one with the daisies.

Thanks for looking.

SugarFrosted- I actually don't care for the lacey ribbon all that much either, but I thought someone might like it for a bridal shower with a tea cup on top, maybe not.

OzCookie- I didn't have a board the right size at the time I did these, I also think they would have been better on a board.

I think you have done a wonderful job on all these cakes! icon_biggrin.gif

I like the suggestion of them being on a board of some type.
Also, I really like the first one and your last one. They were beautiful. I know you mentioned that you did the one with the lace ribbon cause you thought a customer might like it? You may want to stick in the range of more modern and simple, especially for CA. I only say this cause the lace ribbon seemed a little old fashioned. Please don't take this the wrong way. If you like simple and more modern cakes that is what you should design! Then people will come to you for that and love your work for it!
Keep up the great work! You are very talented!

Hi your cakes are lovely but let me add a little critiquing here. Although they are all nice they are all alot alike. To round out your portfolio it would be to your advantage to add a variety of styles ie. piped borders stringwork, stripes etc. If your lacking any ideas copy ones you see on here there are some awesome cakes here. icon_wink.gif
