I Hate Sheet Cakes!

Ok, so I make that cute little sugar baby to put on this sheet cake. Well, the sheet cake looks terrible. The woman ordered a full size sheet cake and thought that I could make a sheet cake look nice. WRONG!
Stupid sheet cakes, I made so much of them at a large bakery that I couldn't get away from the stupid way the bakery makes them. Theres got to be a better way to make a full size sheet cake not look stupid.

Ok, I'm calm now. The lady that bought the cake loved it. I sure would like to have more creative ideas for sheet cakes.

I'm sorry, I really think the wrong picture got posted to this thread, because that cake is ADORABLE! If you want to see a bad sheet cake - take a look in my pics for the graduation one. Yeah - to date, that's been my one and only. LOL

That sheet cake is darling...have you see the book The Sheet Cake Way by Vi Whittington? Awesome ideas, and the cover is a sheet cake covered in fondant that looks like a letterman jacket...cool!

The ONLY thing I would do differently, like I could make any sheet cake that good anyway icon_rolleyes.gif , would be to not put it in the disposable container.
Unless that's what they wanted.

I think it looks great. I don't like sheet cakes either, but that seems to be what people want. They don't want to spend money on sculpted sometimes. I just finished up 2 sheet cakes. I think I rather be shot!
