Luster Dust Vs Sparkles For Buttercream Clouds??

Should I used luster dust or sparkles on buttercream clouds...and how to I apply either???

Thanks for everyones help!!! I don't know what I'd do without these forums!!!!!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Personally, I would use sparkles, and just pinch a few between my thumb and forefinger and sprinkle them where you need them.

i just did a cake with clouds (see kiki's memory cake) but didn't think to do the sprinkles. i would use the sparkle /glitter that is like flakes... they really reflect the light. i used a tip#12 to pipe my clouds, what are you going to use?

i used tip # 12 as well...it worked good. the sparkles also look nice but they were very hard to get on the side of the cake....now if only i could get rid of the airpockets in my buttercream! icon_eek.gif

airpockets in buttercream are from over mixing. either too long or too hard (too high of a setting).
