If anyone has directions on how to get the shape of a purse and how to make the hardware look real;it would make my day.

Hi, here is a website that may help.
I have a pink purse cake out on the Gallery. I used gold luster dust to make the metal parts. If you want me to try to explain how I did it email me at [email protected]

I have done a purse cake cutting a 3 inch round in half. To make it more realistic looking...you could cover it in fondant and use gold or silver luster dust on the buckles. Don't forget to post a pic when you finish it! icon_razz.gif

This definately gives me inspiration. They are beautiful.
As soon as I get a new mixer I'll try one.

Sheilaattaway,
How did you make the "make-up" in our purse. Did you have a template. I am having a Mary Kay party at my house in a few weeks and I wanted to make a cake with "make-up" on it.
Thanks
Karen
